As of late, the Air Jordan 1 Mid has most certainly started to break out of its proverbial shell, releasing colorways that would not feel one bit out of place within the scope of the “FEARLESS ONES.” Basking in an aesthetic a bit harder to explain, the pair seemingly pits two distinct aesthetics together: one half sportswear-influenced and the other something more akin to elegance. Uppers, left unassuming in palette for the most part, wind up mixing together distinct material hits of leather, suede, and even nylon at the tongue. The latter, which is the only dose of color throughout, paints in bright, neon volt to further separate itself from the light off-whites found elsewhere. Swooshes, ankle flaps, and forefoot panelling are given a much hairier texture relative to those adjacent, framing a toe box and side base of a woodgrain finish, raising with various line work similar though not entirely replicative of the crinkled finishes of the heel wrap. Grab a close-up look at these just below and sit tight for word on their official Nike.com release.
UPDATED February 6th, 2020: This Jordan 1 Mid is dropping on February 13th at select retailers for $120 USD.
