Since more folks are starting to flee to their local hiking trails in an effort to relieve themselves of quarantine insanity, Nike has capitalized on this by introducing more ACG sneaker models specifically designed to tackle the great outdoors. After delivering a few colorways of their ACG Zoom AO, the trail-friendly footwear family is now bringing to light yet another silhouette that avid hikers can add to their rotation dubbed the Air Nasu. It’s namesake is derived from the Nasu, Japan, which happens to be a small city widely known for its hiking and natural springs located in the Tochigi Prefecture.
The design is heavily inspired by that of the Air Humara, featuring a low-profile construction crafted with a “no sew” rubberized mesh upper. ard rubber in the toe, heel and outer edges help with protection and durability. The hardened rubber toes, heels, and edges, in addition to the sticky rubber infused into the center are meant to provide wearers with functional protection and durability. Branded hits are placed atop the rear lateral areas as well as the tongues and heels; the former of which is a tiny Swoosh, while the latter stamps via ACG lettering. Two colorways, including a navy/purple/teal, as well as a black/olive are set to debut on August 8th on Nike.com.
